How We Got Our Name
"Mothers Against WASL"
came about with a simple suggestion from I don't remember who, way back in
2000. There were two of us moms who started standing on street corners holding
signs and very loudly opting our kids out of the test.
The name caught on with the press, so we kept it. Rest assured, we are an all-inclusive group! We have many male members
and we have teacher and student members. The "mothers" is strictly
symbolic of the instinct to protect children.
Welcome to the Resistance!
